Divine Purpose

Greetings! As our relationship with our wonderful new minister Rev. Bill Carpenter continues to deepen and unfold, this Sunday, June 8th, he will explore the WHY of it all. Why were we all brought together? What does God have in Mind for us a collective and as individuals? Why are we here at this time? And WHAT is our:

“DIVINE PURPOSE”

An individual quilt square never kept anyone warm and doesn’t create a particularly complex picture. But sew enough pieces together, and you have a blanket that provides warmth and comfort, as well as tells an endlessly engaging and fascinating story. God is sewing the quilt and we are the beloved quilt pieces: already whole and complete, but part of a larger story— one we cannot always see.

Our terrific in-house Maestro, aka Thomas Armbruster, Esq. (jk: he’s not an Esquire- it just sounds good after his name!) has been delighting us with some wonderful new music of late! This week the hits keep on coming, including a new song called,              “Hands of Grace.” Brings to mind God’s loving hands, sewing a wondrous quilt.

The new and improved walkway got the green light from the Board last Sunday! There will be opportunities for memorialization within or upon it forthcoming!
