Pasadena New Thought Center Cares.

PNTC (historically known as The Church of Truth) has a long and proud tradition of supporting and being involved with other organizations that promote the healing, growth and well-being of both the individual and the Community.

  • United Against Hate Week/Collaborate Pasadena

In Pasadena, the Western Justice Center andthe City of Pasadena Human Rights Commission first partnered in 2022 to initiate Pasadena's United Against Hate program.  Each year since then events have matured in Pasadena and participation has increased here and in adjacent San Gabriel Valley areas.

On October 25, 2025, PNTC was invited to participate in Walk to Freedom— Pasadena’s community day of action as part of United Against Hate Week, a national movement that brings people together to stand against hate and build belonging.

  • Compassionate Pasadena

Pasadena New Thought Center (PNTC) is hosting Compassionate Pasadena Exploration Day, a collaboration between non-profits dedicated to living together in a state of compassion. This fun-filled afternoon combines performances, presentations and enlightening conversations about compassion. Resource tables will be on site for individuals to learn more about creating a Compassionate Pasadena that will serve our families and friends in the Greater Pasadena Area.

“We are excited to become the hub for Compassionate Pasadena at our historic and respected spiritual Center on Orange Grove Boulevard,” said Rev. William Carpenter. “For over 100 years we have served the community; bringing forth a greater expression of compassion and love to our area families."

  • Interfaith Prayer Breakfast

One of the first things Rev. Bill did as Sr. Minister at PNTC was to attend the 52nd Annual Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast which took place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Pasadena Convention Center. Friends In Deed once again hosted the event where hundreds of community members, Pasadena residents, local leaders, and the interfaith community came together with Mayor Victor M. Gordo for a morning of peace, prayer, and reflection under the 2025 theme:
